This is the best book on making incense for esoteric purposes that I have come across.

The book consists of three parts:

• Making and Using Incense
• Herbal
• Incense Recipes

The first part does a thorough job of describing the ways to burn incense and the ingredients and approach necessary to make each, from loose though cone to stick. The second covers how to collect and dry herbs ready to include in incense. The third, comprising the bulk of the book, are recipes for incense organized by purpose. Appendices group useful information.

This is a good, practical book that is clearly written and so causes no confusion at all when following its instructions. The recipes work well. I have tried many of them and they function well for the stated purpose.

This book belongs in the reference collection of anyone following an esoteric path where incense is important. Highly recommended.
